May I-Corps @ Berkeley Wrap Up

Two PhD students from UC Davis are changing the way organic waste is managed by streamlining biological treatment for decontamination and by-product recovery. They’re using insects to remediate contaminated solid waste while reusing the resulting insect biomass for downstream production of lipid-based biofuel and high-value protein feed.

The team focused their interviews on ecosystem players so that they can better understand how information flows and how decisions are made.  What’s next? National I-Corps this Fall!
