Gadgil Lab spinout brings safe drinking water to rural California

Recent National NSF I-Corps and Bay Area I-Corps alum JuvenAqua is making headlines as they translate their clean water technology developed at a UC Berkeley lab to Allensworth and other rural California communities:

Their novel arsenic treatment system provides affordable, safe, and sustainable sources of water for rural communities - a growing problem, especially as drought and extreme heat conditions limit California’s supply of water.

“It’s a really exciting process, bringing the technology from the lab to the field and then working with the community and developing a relationship with them,” Bandaru said. “It’s working really well.”
