Uplift finds surprising ways to empower more female weightlifters

Sejal Goel and Mia Rauer are current UC Berkeley Haas School of Business undergrads who completed our NSF I-Corps “Intro to Lean Startup” course.

The team created Uplift to increase the number of young females using weightlifting in their fitness routines.

After validating their initial value propositions of saving time and reducing injury, they discovered other, equally important ones—reducing intimidation and building a community of "buddies".

The team conducted a whopping 21 interviews over the course of the week and discovered the importance of double clicking on the question “Why?”

What can our *free* 3-evening class do for your startup idea? Apply for the May cohort & find out!
